I got both red5 and red5 recorder working. I am a humble web designer who dabbles in PHP as and when needed.

Help me embed it into a PHP page.

I’ve been trying to get the red5recorder working now for about three days. I’ve got like 16+ hours in it. Still no go. I can finally get the client to point to something other than 127.0.0.1. I don’t really understand how the to get the server part of it working. Setting up the red5 server wasn’t that hard, but I could really use someone to point me in the right direction with the red5recorder install.

Do you have a copy of the install video that you could re-upload somewhere. This has been a nightmare.

Any help you could give would be greatly appreciated.

A minimum of 2048-bit keys for entity certificates (the secure certificates issued to our customers) that expire after December 31st, 2010.

Computer power has lessened the time it takes to break the algorithms used by today’s secure certificate private keys. It is estimated that the computer power required to break 1024-bit length secure certificate private keys will exist by 2011.

To avoid putting the Internet and e-commerce users at risk, the Certificate Authority Browser Forum has published new requirements for secure certificates. We are a member of this organization and are supporting this change by requiring 2048-bit length for all new and renewing SSLs.

One thing you might want to know – Handbrake supports .mkv containers. I use Handbrake on my Ubuntu system, it’ll pretty much convert anything you want to AppleTV.

I just tried to start live streaming from a local file, but that seemed not to work out whether over RTSP or HTTP… I just cant connect flowplayer to my streams…

As you can see its inserting the looks params but the the business_card params. Below is my code:

just wondering did you have any trouble with bridged networking in this setup? i notice you are using 64bit. I had trouble in 32bit ubuntu 9.04 so reverted back to 8.04 LTS
